How does the magnetic magic board work?

Each picture can be easily hidden. There are balls inside the closed board and holes on the surface of the board. As you move the magnetised tip of the pen across the holes, the balls form a masterpiece. What can be done to make the picture disappear? Simply move a flat surface or your finger across the drawing and the balls will hide inside.
